Today I had bad lucky with my kernels. This morning after update my Kali Linux Laptop, the Vmware Player doesn't work.The new kernel affected the Vmware's modules, but was so easy fix it, Install the new version was my first approach, but It works.
Second, I was working on a redhat 6 virtual server to change swap space. I tried to increase 2 GB on swap space with a new LV (Logical Volume), but I didn't remember recompile the kernel image and finally got a Kernel Panic when rebooted.
Is necessary to recompile the kernel image with the new disc arrange, and will reboot again.
Today I learned something new, putting interest in the worst case to get knowledge to the future.
